Bliss Herbals Wins First Prize!

First Prize at Invotech

Bliss Herbals just won First Prize at the Invotech Entrepreneurship Program, and we’re so excited for what this means!

We’ve had an amazing week! We were invited by Invotech to join their Technology Entrepreneurship Programme, supported by DUT, SEDA and TIA; where we spent a week being inspired by some of the best minds in the business of innovation. There was such a wealth of knowledge shared, and such passionate participants with brilliant projects to grow South Africa. Innovation, Sustainability, Empowerment, Green Tech and Indigenous Knowledge were the buzzwords of the workshop and it was uplifting to hear the stories of creative ideas to solve unique problems. We had the chance to hear from experienced masters of industry, business consultants, tech geniuses and the CEOs of incubators like The Innovation Hub in Joburg and Invotech in Durban.

On the last day, participants were invited to pitch their ideas to the panel after applying what they learnt; and we were wowed by the outstanding presentations our fellow entrepreneurs delivered with polished enthusiasm. The lunch break was spent congratulating each other, swapping contact details and comparing our sleepless night before. Then to our great surprise and delight we were awarded with First Prize and R10 000 worth of business development capital.

We’re so grateful to everyone involved and excited to make our dreams come to life! The organisers are some of the kindest, most supportive people we’ve come across in our business journey and they’ve brought great value to the young entrepreneurs of South Africa.

These guys are seriously savvy and can help get your startup on it’s feet if you’re into tech, sustainability, and innovation. Senzo is an absolute gem and under his guidance Invotech is set to become an institution of inspiration.

We look forward to Round Two of the program in September and connecting with all the bright young minds we met during the week.
Be Bliss’d!
